Lenovo announced the latest additions to its ThinkVision monitor portfolio that pioneer a new level of energy-efficiency for PC displays. Delivering outstanding performance, the new ThinkVision L1700p, L1940 Wide, L1940p Wide, L2240p Wide, L2440p Wide and L2440x Wide monitors use 30-60 percent less energy than previous ThinkVision models[1], are EPEAT Gold rated and GREENGUARD certified, and include packaging for select models with 65 percent recycled materials.

Lenovo announced two new ThinkPad notebooks that significantly address the key factors mobile computer users consider today – light weight, long battery life and usability. With models starting at just 2.4 pounds[1] and with models offering maximum battery life lasting up to more than 13 hours[2], the ThinkPad X200s notebook leads Lenovo’s business-class notebook portfolio for lightest weight and longest battery life. Lenovo’s new ThinkPad X200 Tablet PC also leads the industry for its light weight design, with models shedding almost 10 percent over the previous generation Tablet PC’s weight. Additionally, the Tablet PC also offers models with nearly 50 percent longer battery life.

Lenovo will combine the excitement of the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games with Lenovo’s most innovative technology in a series of television commercials designed to drive awareness of the company’s pivotal role in this year’s Olympic Games and demonstrate how Lenovo PCs are helping people originate ideas everywhere.
