This powerful XGA projector is designed for conference room usage where networking is a highly appreciated asset. The EMP-7800 projector is targeting a segment that needs a desktop projector with high brightness (3.500 ANSI lm ) and convenient features such as Networkability, Security, Quick Corner and Wall Shot functions, to be used in the professional/office environment.

31 March 2003 – Epson announces the launch of a portable desktop projector, the EMP-7800 that offers a level of image quality, flexibility and ease-of-use that meets the demands of virtually any presentation setting.

The EMP-7800 produces 3,500 ANSI lumens images in true XGA native resolution (1024 x 768), with superior image quality and specific technology-advanced features. The EMP-7800 secures a longer lamp life with the Eco Mode, which delivers 2,500 ANSI lm and 3,000 hours lamp life. In addition, operation noise is substantially reduced in Eco Mode down to 33dB. The outstanding brightness level is achieved thanks to Epson 1.0” DREAM III LCD panel technology.

This new model incorporates significant features that are extremely valuable for daily business meetings for instance Networkability Epson EasyMP.net function, Security function, Epson Preview function, Epson Quick Corner, Epson Wall Shot function, Optional lenses function.

Networkability
Epson’s EasyMP.net function is a collective term for all the Epson technology that relates to the projector control from an IT Network Management Station. It monitors the state of the projector connected to the TCP/IP network and controls a number of basic features via different software applications – Simple Network Management Protocol, EMP Network Manager and EMP Monitor. As a result of this comprehensive system, the network user can check/control several aspects of the projector such as fan errors, lamp error, lamp life warning, and IP address.

Ease of operation
The EMP-7800 has been designed to be easy to set up in a variety of environments. Epson Quick Corner and Epson Wall Shot functions, respectively enable the user to adjust a perfect square screen image, and to show true colours even when the image is projected to a color wall. On the other hand, the EMP-7800’s Short Throw Distance feature – 1.6m/60” – is the shortest within the Epson line up. The EMP-7800’s option lens function with middle lens / long zoom lens offers the possibility to install the projector in any place without deteriorating the quality of the image.

Security
Being so movable Epson included important security features such as a password protected function to protect it from theft and prevent operation from unauthorized persons.

“ By launching this portable product Epson is presenting a very attractive high brightness, robust, compact (5.5kg) business desktop projector with comprehensive connectivity,” said Epson.

The heart of this projector’s advanced imaging technology lies in Epson’s own three-LCD projection system. These three 1.0-inch Epson LCDs are engineered to achieve high levels of image quality, such as brightness distribution (illumination ratio), color saturation, color accuracy and efficiency. They create varying shades of red, green and blue that blend to produce a projected image with brighter, richer, truer colours and sharp black text. This unit also features a 700:1 contrast ratio, enabling a rich video image quality projection.

As a Premium Desktop projector, the EMP-7800 is equipped with a full-featured remote control. The remote control (back lighted and with joystick) has a unique key layout that provides access to all major functions at one-touch: Pageup-Pagedown /EasyMP /Wall Shot /PinP any many more.
